Project Profile: An Organized Escape
Clients often ask us, "Are you really organized in your personal life?" For our founder and CEO, Stasia, the answer is a resounding yes—twice over. Stasia owns two properties, both of which are models of exceptional organization. Her home on Moose Pond in Bridgton, Maine is a stunning lakeside getaway across from Pleasant Mountain, complete with a guest house listed on Airbnb.
This property is special for many reasons, one of which is its role as the venue for our annual team retreat. We spend several days there eating, swimming, sitting by the fire, and strategizing for the year ahead. It's an ideal setting to brainstorm how we can better help our clients achieve their organizational goals!
The Airbnb rental space is a prime example of how to maximize a small space for various uses.
The rental includes a washer/dryer, storage for sports equipment, three different beds, a mudroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette—all within just 690 square feet. Stasia has skillfully repurposed secondhand furniture and decor, and employed some of our favorite organizing products to optimize the space.
Efficient Entryway Organization
An Organized Shared Kitchen
Maintaining a tidy shared space means using labels extensively. The SpaceAid Drawer Dividers System is perfect for organizing kitchen tools, while iDesign Affix Bins are ideal for inside cabinet doors.
The Sleek and High-Storage Living Space
Beautiful and Functional Utility Spaces
Why shouldn’t your utility space be beautiful and functional? We love the Elfa Utility Over the Door Rack for cleaning supplies and laundry materials, and made use of additional Elfa Shelving on the wall opposite the washer and dryer for the essentials. This Mountable Magnetic Lint Bin is another great option to keep your laundry room tidy.
The Bathroom
The vanity is filled with supplies for guests and the shower has a large niche and hooks for guests to be able to unpack and stay organized.
The Outdoor Space
Stasia designed and built the sheds to serve multiple purposes. She wanted to bring a contrast and modern look to the side of the guest house while also needing to store a lot! The trash and recycling cans, grilling tools, and fire starter supplies are stored inside the left sliding door shed, tons of firewood is stored in the long bench that serves as additional seating and the taller sections under the windows also serves as additional space for serving food if guests are barbecuing. The right shed stores furniture that needs to be protected during the winter and houses extra supplies during the Summer.
The Adirondack chairs have holes in the arms to hold drinks which eliminates the need for side tables around the fire pit (space saving hot tip!). And the kayaks are organized in rainbow order. Does it get any better than this?
